Patti Smits has been in the insurance industry for more than 30 years with involvement in service, sales, operations, leadership, training, and acquisitions.  Early in her career she specialized in the transportation sector supporting trucking relationships related to property & casualty insurance, safety, and compliance.

In 2008, Patti transitioned into a service leader role for a local agency overseeing multiple product line teams including commercial, employee benefits, personal lines, claims and operations in Wisconsin and Arizona.  She fostered strong relationships within all areas of the agency which, together, strengthened partnerships with their clients.  Her servant leadership approach and commitment to creating a culture of trust and building community positively contributed to the satisfaction of both clients and team members.

In 2021, Patti joined the Guardian Risk Solutions team to support the agency in its operations and service areas. Her principles and experience aligned with the organization’s unique approach to innovation, solutions, and care that they bring to each of their clients.

Patti’s education has earned her designations through the Insurance Institute of America and the National Alliance for Insurance and Research.  Throughout her career she has served on multiple committees for the Independent Insurance Association of Wisconsin.
